Many times we feel annoyed because of no reason. This is because we assume that there is no underlying reason for this. It’s necessary to understand what’s burning you out?
You need to keep a tab on your working hours. Track how much time you spend working or in front of screen. Write down what you are doing, whom you are with, and how you actually feel (irrespective good or lousy) and what is valuable for you.
Restrict your exposure to situations that drain you and increase the time you things that make you feel rejuvenated.
- Prioritize yourself:
Consult your doctor to get an objective curative assessment. Sleep well, eat healthy meals, stay hydrated, exercise, meditate or do things that make your happy.
Burnout has three facets that are: exhaustion, depersonalization, and lessened personal accomplishment.
- Make Efforts to Evade Job Stressors:
Discover what behaviours about yourself and other disturbing elements at work? Do your perfectionist tendencies make you obtain more work? Learn to delegate your tasks or require assistance when required.
Don’t check work related emails when you are at your home or in some celebration. Besides, spare your weekend for yourself. Don’t get overwhelmed by work.
- Look for your Support System at Work:
Reach out to your boss if you are struggling with any difficulty. If you are the business owner and you are facing any obstacle, reach out to your employees. Share your problems with them. Sometimes, even sharing your work can take of the load.
- Spare few Moments to reassess your job:
Is your work culture toxic? Are you persistently tense about your performance at work? Understand that no job is more important than your mental and physical health.
Research reflects that burnout happens when the demands people struggle with on job outstrip the resources they have to fulfil them.
